It was a busy week in the office at Charlton Epsom. We had an Auction on Wednesday night and what better Auction to get the night under way than our own listing 1/34 Kitchener Road. A two bedroom, 1 bathroom unit with a garage in a block of three on a really nice street in Sandringham. The unique thing about this property was that it was elevated above the other two units. The unit itself had been lived in by the same owner for 23 years and while it was in beautiful condition it was due a new kitchen and bathroom. Bidding on the night was fast and furious up through the 700k mark. Which probably shocked a few people. However when you get two people in a room who want the same property not only does it make for an exciting auction but it also can produce some stunning prices. The property was sold under the hammer at a staggering $750,500!
Friday at Charlton action rooms produced another hotly contested auction as well. A pre auction offer had been accepted on 97b Oakdale Road, Mt Roskill, Another property that had been cared for by the same owners for 36 years! A similar property to kitchener earlier in the week as it was due a new kitchen and bathroom and the property was oozing potential. bidding got underway $725,000 and it was hotly contested by three interested parties all the way up to the eventual selling price of $771,000.
